The Twins, of course, will lose to the Yankees in the playoffs......

Just wanted to provide a handy link to go along with Joe’s “Two and two to Harvey Kuenn” mention: https://archive.org/details/VinScullyCallsThe9thInningOfSandyKoufaxsPerfectGame

Great comparison - that Brewers team was thrilling and likeable and like the Twins there were no breaks going through the lineup. You didn't mention Jim Gantner who if I recall batted ninth with a .290 average (back in the days when people cared about batting average). Also, their backup catcher was a guy named Ned Yost.

The Twins also have a reasonable shot of hitting a "gross" of home runs this year: a dozen players with at least a dozen home runs. I'm pretty sure that's never been done, either. Ten players have already hit 12 or more, and Buxton has 10 and Cave has 7 at this point.

This year's Yankees also have 10 players at 12+ home runs, plus Clint Frazier at 11, Mike Ford and Edwin Encarnacion both at 10, and Cameron Maybin at 8.

The twins are fun but I feel like there has to be an interesting story to write about Cleveland and the franchise has largely been ignored outside the 22 game win streak in 2017
