OK, we’re going to try to make Trivia Thursday a bit easier this week … last week’s Trivia Contest was a lot of fun (for me, at least), but it required way too much guessing. That’s not how it should be. Let’s see if it’s a bit easier this week.
As a reminder: When you answer the question, you will be taken to a different page that tells you whether you got it right or not (and shows you the right answer if you missed). It’s not exactly how I want it, and I’m looking for a better way, but it’s really not bad. In tomorrow’s Ask Joe, I’ll give you all the answers and explanations!
Let’s have some fun out there. And as always, if you want to put your score in the comments, that would be fun for everyone to see.
Today’s theme: Hall of Fame questions! And in between the Qs, we’ll offer up some Hall of Fame thoughts (and even a few Baseball 100 thoughts) that I think you’ll enjoy.
Let’s start with my favorite of the five questions:
Who is the first African American who did NOT play in the Negro Leagues to be elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame? |
People often ask me: How many players in today’s game will be elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame? It’s a great question. Are there 10 future Hall of Famers playing today? 20 future Hall of Famers playing today? Thirty? Seventy-five? Let’s see if we can do some back-of-the-envelope math and come up with a number.
