Can’t argue it was the best Series ever, or even close because of the very ends of the games, but there was a lot to like. The aggregate road team score is, with all due respect, a hot fruit statistic... There were three big-time comebacks in the series - by Houston after being down 2-0 in games, by Wash after being down 3-2 in games, and by Wash after being down 2-0 (which felt like 5-0, 40-love) in Game 7. Yeah the 9th innings were anticlimaxes, but at 11 pm on the last night of the season, no one knew for sure who would win. Throw in the individual performances by the guys we all wanted to see perform - Soto’s G1 homer off Cole and G6 homer off Verlander alone were especially stunning - and I thought the Series as a whole was a great end to a baseball season.
