I, too, have been a long time reader and subscriber. I am guessing I have read most everything Joe has published on the internet (as well as most of his books). This essay, and I would imagine, the rest of his top ten, I have read at least 3-4 times, and they move me every single time. The Promise affected me deeply when I first read it I don't know how long ago, as I was struggling with my purpose at that time. It gave me strength, courage and acceptance for the life I have and that continues to this day.

Joe, if you are reading this, thank you for sharing your talents and heart with us. I am just one dude, way out in Montana, but you, and the beautiful words you write, have been a tremendous blessing to me.

I am not in any way a Bruce Springsteen fan, but I would gladly read a 1000 page book about him if you wrote it.
