I like: "Being a child, in so many ways, is like wandering into a conversation that has been going on for a long time."

The discussion of Dave Henderson reminds me of one of my favorite stories.

In 2000, I was in Arizona with a friend for my first spring training. I'd always wanted to go, and at 26, I finally could. Spring Training! Baseball in March, which when you're from Chicago is amazing. Players would be everywhere!

This was confirmed when we got on the rental car shuttle at Sky Harbor and Dave Henderson was sitting there! A former baseball star!

And my friend, in a sign that his brain wasn't quite working right, looks at him and says "Aren't you the guy who hit the home run off the guy who..." and this was where his brain informed his mouth that saying "killed himself" wasn't smart, so he stopped.

Henderson just looked at him. I'm just glad we didn't combust from his stare.
