In July I visited for the first time the Japanese American National Museum in LA. I had heard of games being played at the internment camps, but seeing actual uniforms, equipment and photographs of camp baseball - mixed in with everything else about the camps ... I don’t have the words to describe it. It made me feel angry, humbled, proud, betrayed, and a little joyful at the same time. Well worth a visit.

a pognant tale that brought tears to my eyes at the end...

the USA has had many shameful moments in its history, beginning w/slavery & the genocide of Native Americans- and the mass internment of Japanese-Americans- most of whom were bonafide US citizens- is shameful as well...

America can never claim the complete moral high ground w/such shameful things as this...
