I always like reading about the "also rans" on the Hall of Fame ballot. You need to have been in MLB for at least ten years to qualify, and it almost stands to reason that if you're around that long, you've done something worthy of note in your career. We should take a bit of time to acknowledge that, and tip our hats to them.

Chavez is my all time favorite Athletic. Until he started getting injured in 2006 he was having a Hall of Fame career.
