I didn't know this off the top of my head, but Hochevar pitched 10+ innings in the Royals run to their 2015 World Series win without giving up a single run. There are worse things to be than unhittable down the playoff stretch of a team's franchise-reviving World Series title! I'm not saying ANYTHING about the 2006 draft, just that I think that's a pretty cool feather for Hochevar's cap, should he want it.
Yes, that's exactly what I was thinking. The guy was pretty key for the Royals once they made him a reliever. Hard to say that drafting Miller or Lincecum would have really mattered. By the time the Royals were good, Lincecum was pretty much done.
