You know, you could probably do a Baseball 100 every year, and each year it would be different depending on your mood or criteria. I think the hardest part is deciding on the 100 and the order, but after reading your lists, I will always wonder how it would change.

I will still buy the book though.

Well done, Joe. I would like to put Gil Hodges name in for your almost hall of famers list. A great ballplayer and leader.

Dear Joe: you are the BEST writer in regards to anything/everything Baseball Hall of Fame! I am ECSTATIC to hear about your upcoming HOF list! But I have a request: there is currently *no* book that has every HOF vote recorded, every player on every ballot listed, and every election analyzed. It would be absolutely awesome if you went through each HOF election vote and analyzed it. You simply must write a HOF book. You must have your name next to Bill James and Jay Jaffe and many others who have written amazing HOF books, too. You're the best at this, Joe. Do it for the children...and 37-year-old guys who have read and cherish every word you've written about the HOF.

Excited for the book and the new projects. I can't wait to share the book with my daughter, who, as you know, is also named Katie.

There's so much goodness in this post, there's no need to apologize.

Your writing has always brought me joy. Looking forward to the next project, and the next, and the one concurrent with that one, and...

Hi Joe, I can’t wait for the BB100 book to arrive! I hope it will have some few pictures on each of the players - if space/volume (and publishing rights) allow.

Super excited for the new series! Plus, by the time the book comes out it will be perfect timing for a re-read. Question: if you’ve given the foreword to “one of America’s greatest journalists”, can I call dibs on one of the reviews on the back cover?

I was hoping that the October book release was a typo and you meant that it would be ready in December 2020, so I could buy 10 copies as gifts. Late-2021 gift giving is set, baby!

First, I wish you and your family a healthy and happy remainder of 2020. Please continue to stay safe. I am simultaneously thrilled and disappointed that The Baseball 100 will become a book. Happy that I do not need to print out all of those stories myself. Sad that I will not get to design it. My hope is that their will be some solid graphics/visuals that will introduce each player. Even if they are black and white drawings, I think that would add a simple but beautiful touch and keep it from being a coffee table book. Really, I wanted to design it myself!

I love the concept for the next series and look forward to reading that. All the best.

Is Brad Pitt going to play you when they make the Hollywood adaptation of the Baseball 100?

Seriously, stop apologizing. I know it's obvious by all you've done, but at least in this corner of the world, you've brought plenty of joy. Yes, it's been a crazy year, and I can never get enough articles, blog posts, or especially Poscasts. But whatever you put out there for us is a small blessing. Thanks Joe!
