Who are the men in that picture? I know who Joe is, and the guy in the middle is an HVAC repairman named Matt who comes to my job when there is a problem. But I do not know who the guy on the end is, and is my HVAC guy really a friend of Joe? Or what?
I see the advantage for an EVENT, but it also means that I would really only be paying attention to this community.
In fact, twitter works because/when that's where the people -- plural -- that I am interested in hearing from are. That's where my edunews is. That's where my sports news is. that's where my politics news is. That's where my policy/research stuff is. That's where the various things that I have curated myself all are collected.
As Ray Charbonneau said four hours ago, this divides our attention, rather than coming to our attention.
So, if Musk actually starts doing stuff that makes twitter much worse, I think everyone should consider leaving. But being proactive like this? you're costing me too much, Joe.
I had the app before on both iPhone and iPad. To get the chat feature to work on both I had to go to the Apple Store and update the app. It now works on both.
I like the idea and will join when it's ready on Android. I'm likely in the minority here and will be fine with the mobile app, but just in case you're looking to gauge interest, my preference is for a browser version or desktop app down the line.
This sounds incredible! Especially to follow along tonight for game 3. But unfortunately I'm on Android. So... When you said really soon any chance it's in the next 5 hours??

For real, who are those guys?

Just ran into Ellen Adair at the ballpark! Go Phills! And maybe I’ll see you Thursday night, too!
I find this idea vaguely ridiculous and also I look forward to trying it if / when it gets added as an option for Android users.
It works on iPad too

Came here to say exactly this.
So is Joe abandoning Twitter for this? Is everyone else? Or is this just one more damned thing to divide your attention?
Yeah. What Ray said.
