As the Dartmouth SID, it was a pleasure to watch Cole play in college. He got battered a bit as a freshman, but then was 8-0 as a sophomore and finished his career 20-6. He has had TJ surgery twice, always displayed very good control and his velocity Has ticked up to the mid-90s with a wipeout slider. Oh, he was also in the same class as Kyle Hendricks and helped the Big Green advance to two NCAA regionals. Been rooting for him to get his chance, and that 3-run homer marked the first runs he had allowed in 9 MLB appearances. Can’t win them all!

About twenty years from now, Susler will come home from a busy day at his office at NASA, where he designs buildings for the US base on Mars, and his granddaughter will come running up and ask him to again tell the story about how he faced Hall of Famer Aaron Judge in a major league baseball game, and Susler will smile knowing that, at least for the moment, all is right with the world.
