Sorry about the second comment.

I guess I'm getting older now (51) but last year I screened in my porch and for last season I found myself listening to the games on XM with a cocktail and a rocking chair as much as I watched them in the house. 1960 called and wants its lifestyle back.

This is it, Joe. I’ve been complaining about this for years and years. And yes, I am in Des Moines, and would rate myself on a 9.9 on the Ellen Adair fandom scale. I watch MLB.tv every day of the season, even with the blackouts. I’ve been in this abusive relationship with MLB all my life.

If they want to do the blackouts, fine. I hate it, but I love the game and can’t quit It. But why do I get charged 100% when we have approximately 80% of the product?

MLB doesn’t care about fans, as long as they can squeeze every last dollar out of us. And as a man in my 40s, I’m pretty sure we will be the last generation of MLB fans. The lack of fan growth is going to cost the business. Not that any of the owners care, that’s someone else’s problem.

Great article.
