Sometimes, I think it’s on purpose. Really. Sometimes I think: There is no way the Cleveland Browns could be that incompetent, that inept, that unlucky, that vapid, that self-destructive, that comical. It has to be an act. It has to be some elaborate piece of performance art.
— This is a team that took its “franchise quarterback” after the owner was advised to do so by someone sleeping on the sidewalk outside the draft.
— That “Franchise quarterback” once put on a fake wig and mustaches and tried to party incognito in Las Vegas the night before a game back in Cleveland.
— This is a team that had a coach wear a “Pittsburgh started it” shirt in public just before the Browns played the Steelers in a crucial game.
— This is a team whose fans once unfurled a “THIS IS THE DAWG POUND” banner so it read THIS IS THE G PO DAW UND.”

— This is a team whose quarterback got caught under the giant American flag that they stretch across the entire football field for the National Anthem.
— This is a team — and this one will crack you up — that gave the largest contract in NFL history to a quarterback facing two-dozen sexual misconduct lawsuits and a certain NFL suspension AND, this is the really hilarious part, the guy can’t play anymore! Giggles! Guffaws! Screams!
On Wednesday, the Browns displayed their new helmet in a super fun celebration! I’m not going to even go into how hideous the alt brown helmet is — no, the point is how much fun the celebration was! Here’s the video!
Keep an eye on the poor videographer in standing on the right-hand side of the barge as the Browns mascot Chomps — yes, Chomps — pulls the tarp off the ugly inflatable brown helmet!
Watch the videographer fall into the water!
Watch as a totally different mascot — Buzz Lightyear? Who? — kind of shuffles over to the edge of the barge to check things out!
Watch as Chomps flings a life jacket into the water!
Watch as a jet ski comes to rescue the videographer who is totally fine!
This team. I swear, they can’t be real.
