Hi Everybody —
Wanted to take a quick minute to give you a video update of what’s going on now that I’m almost (fingers crossed) ready to deliver my next-next book, FIFTY SEASONS.
I also wanted to say: We wanted to do something special for Charlotte since I live here, and so we just added a special BIG FAN event for Sunday, May 17, 2 p.m., at the Arboretum Barnes & Noble — TWO DAYS before BIG FAN officially comes out.
The way it will work is — I’ll come out to B&N, say a few words about BIG FAN, and then personalize copies of the book; people in Charlotte will have a chance to get the book before almost anybody else. This will not be a ticketed event, but space will be limited, so getting there a bit early will probably serve you well.
Then, I’ll head straight to the airport for New York and the start of our tour.
Monday, May 18: The Strand, New York with Seth Meyers (sold out — waitlist here)
Tuesday, May 19: The Brattle Theater, Cambridge, with Howard Bryant (few tickets left).
Wednesday, May 20: St. Louis County Library, St. Louis, with Gerald Early (tickets going fast)
Thursday, May 21: Unity Temple on the Plaza, Kansas City, with Jason Kander (tickets going fast)
Friday, May 22: Hermosa County Community Center, Los Angeles, with Colin Hanks (tickets going fast)
Of course, you can preorder the book from your favorite book-filling station — you can still get signed copies from B&N and Books-a-Million and super-special signed copies from Joseph-Beth Booksellers, where you will have a chance to get a one-of-a-kind book signed by, I don’t know, Amy Poehler or something.
OK, back to the cave to finish FIFTY SEASONS. I’m ready to come back on Monday because there’s just SO much stuff to talk about in baseball. For now, I’ll just say — Mets fans, Phillies fans, Royals fans, Red Sox fans … I’m so sorry.
