I don't know where to put this (can't join the chat), but I have an idea for improving baseball. This idea would cut down on the time of the game, improve offense, and make for more exciting individual match-ups. The rule would be this: Any time a manager changed pitchers in the middle of an inning, the opposing manager could choose to start over wherever he chooses in the line-up. For instance, if a team playing the Phillies brought in a right handed reliever in the middle of an inning, Rob Thomson could choose to bat Bryce Harper immediately and continue down the line-up from Harper's spot thereafter. This would a) reduce the number of mid inning pitching changes, thus speeding up the game, b) increase offense because of (a) and because the better hitters would hit more often, and c) give the fans more chances to see the hitters and match-ups they really want to see.
